Who We Are
Emancipation of Women for Peace and Development (EWPD) is a Nigerian gender focused NGO working with communities, especially women and children, in rural areas to contribute towards sustainable human development using popular education methodologies.
The organisation's principle objective is to contribute to the act for human rights and creation of sustainable economic and social systems which are controlled by rural communities and which respond to their needs. 

Commitment to Education
At EWPD, We conduct training on a consultancy basis in participatory methods. Participatory evaluations and gender training for various organizations.
EWPD uses Popular Education Methodologies(PED) in its training programmes. PEM focuses on empowerment - the freedom to discuss, share and ultimately to gain control over ones life.The main focus is the empowerment of Niger Delta rural communities especially the marginalized women.
